Tuition Fees

Annual fee 4.000 €.

Students are expected to be enrolled in the program for at least 3 years before submitting their Ph.D. thesis.

Our classes take place during short periods of two weeks, four times a year. This structure makes our program ideal to those who need to balance a professional career with an academic journey. Students take the opportunity to expend part of their PhD time visiting other international schools we have partnerships with.

Support for conference attendance
In order to support and stimulate PhD student to attend and participate in international conferences, BRU-Iscte supports the expenses (limited reimbursement) according to the internal rules.
Internal Scholarships for PhD students
Iscte offers competitive grants for PhD students. Usually there are two independent calls for applications:

Soft Skills Scholarship: performed for educational support activities within the bachelor degree Soft Skills curricular units;

Other Internal Scholarships: For developing pedagogical and technical skills at specific department fields or to support research projects at BRU-Iscte.

Main Goals

Encourage and support doctoral students in disseminating the results of their research by presenting papers at conferences and publishing articles in journals, in order to receive from the scientific community the constructive feedback on those findings
Providing doctoral students with knowledge and skills that will help them to advance and progress in their academic or professional careers, access to top jobs in public and private institutions, as well as manage their own business excellence
Through significant coursework, to equip doctoral students with a set of knowledge and skills that will allow them to conduct and develop innovative and independent skilled research

Learning Goals

The students in this study cycle must be capable of:

Assist in the presentation, dissemination of the research results within the academic community
Enable the critical analysis of the ideas and work of other researchers in the students’ area of study and suggest ways to overcome possible limitations
Enable the design and implementation of sound research plans according to ethical and methodological norms likely to generate contributions to the development of scientific knowledge in the management field
Encourage students to autonomously promote the advancement of knowledge in Management
To develop deep and systematic insight on the Management field of studies
