ImAFUSA is a Horizon Europe and SESAR JU funded project coordinated by BRU-Iscte. ImAFUSA is evaluating factors influencing citizens’ acceptance of Urban Air Mobility (UAM). UAM refers to a new type of air traffic at very low altitudes above populated areas covering a wide diversity of potential services. Drones are already in place in numerous ongoing pilot projects and a full exploitation of UAM technologies can respond to challenges such as climate change or energy crises.
Sofia Kalakou, BRU-Iscte integrated researcher, is the coordinator of ImAFUSA. Other BRU-Iscte researchers involved are Catarina Marques, Fernando Ferreira, João Guerreiro and Renato Pereira and research assistants Margarida Santos, Helena Almeida, Margarida Lopes, James McLeod and Francisco Aniceto.
