The Iscte Business School’s Ethics Committee (EC) is responsible for issuing opinions and recommendations, within the scope of the respective scientific areas, on the research carried out by students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle curricular units, of master’s dissertations, PhD theses, or project reports. The Ethics Committee is also responsible for issuing opinions on the research carried out by teachers and researchers from the Iscte Business School and the Business Research Unit (BRU-Iscte).
A study should be submitted for analysis by the EC if any of the following applies:
- the study involves processing personal data
- the study involves a sample derived from vulnerable populations
- the study involves significant risks for the participants
