The Strategy and Studies Office (GEE), in collaboration with Google and the Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society (APDSI), announces the conclusion of the Call for Papers on “Artificial Intelligence in Portugal: Innovations, Challenges and Economic Impacts”. The initiative aimed to award scientific papers that explored the theme of AI in the Portuguese context.
One of the 3 winning Paper:
- “Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture: Revolutionizing Methods and Practices in Portugal”, by Maria José Sousa from Management research group at BRU-Iscte.
Maria José Sousa’s study was recognized for its comprehensive analysis of the potential of AI to transform Portuguese agriculture. The research highlights how AI can be used to optimize agricultural production, reduce environmental impact and increase the competitiveness of the sector.
The Call for Papers received a total of 15 high-quality scientific papers, addressing various topics related to AI in Portugal. The winning papers were selected by a jury composed of experts in AI, economics and social development.
The initiative reinforces GEE’s commitment to promoting AI research and development in Portugal. The dissemination of the winning papers aims to encourage public debate on the topic and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions that benefit Portuguese society.
