Following the 2025 edition of the HIMSS Europe Congress in Paris, the HIMSS European Projects Insight Report was published. This publication highlights Project XiA – Xpanding Innovative Alliance, among 12 EU-funded initiatives contributing to the digital transformation of healthcare in Europe.

As the only European capacity-building project in this year’s selection, XiA focuses on developing the interoperability skills required to implement the European Health Data Space (EHDS) through innovative learning experiences, micro-credentials and hands-on Educathons.

The project is led by BRU-Iscte, with BRU-Iscte researcheres Henrique Martins as PI and Ana Lúcia Martins as part of the research team.
