The Xpanding Innovative Alliance (XiA) project (Erasmus+) was present at the Athens Digital Health Week 2026, which took place between February 16-20. Within the event, the XiA project co-organised the joint education session From FHIR Core Specifications to Interoperability Skills together with HL7 Europe, IHE-Europe, and EURIDICE, focusing on how European digital-health interoperability standards can be translated into practical competencies for professionals involved in implementing the European Health Data Space (EHDS). In addition, XiA presented their persona-based approach to interoperability skills.
The project is coordinated by BRU-Iscte researcher Henrique Martins.
