The Synclusive Project recently held a successful activation event in Évora, Portugal, building upon the momentum of previous initiatives in Lisbon. The event, hosted at PACT (Parque de Ciências e Tecnologia do Alentejo), brought together a diverse group of 25 participants, including regional stakeholders and young people, for a day of learning and dialogue.

The event kicked off with a coalition partners’ meeting, followed by an insightful presentation on the Synclusive project by Professor Maria José Sousa. A key highlight was a dynamic roundtable discussion moderated by Professor Sousa, featuring prominent figures such as:

  • Carlos Pinto de Sá, President of Évora’s City Hall
  • Arnaldo Frade, Regional Delegate for Alentejo at IEFP (National Institute of Employment and Professional Training)
  • Rui Espada, President of NERE (Entrepreneurial Nucleus of the Évora Region)
  • Carlos Sezões, Managing Partner at Direfly

This esteemed panel engaged in a fruitful discussion exploring strategies to empower young people and foster a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem within the Évora region.

The event concluded with a practical workshop designed to equip young participants with essential career skills. Inês Maltez, Talent Attraction Partner at TE Connectivity, provided valuable guidance on crafting impactful CVs, offering hands-on advice to help attendees enhance their job market competitiveness.
