The Doctor of Management is an official, fully recognized degree conferred by Iscte – Institute University of Lisbon, a state owned university established in 1972, in partnership with UESTC University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Chengdu).

Developing and concluding the Thesis. The research areas for Thesis include:

• Business strategy
• Organization and human resources
• Marketing
• Finance
• Operation management

First year:

• Coursework

Second year and following:

• Developing and concluding the Thesis. (The dissertation should be written in English);
• 1 or 2 weeks studying and visiting in Portugal, including lecture, company visits, Thesis oral defense and graduation ceremony.

Thesis supervision and oral defense

• Thesis will be jointly tutored by two supervisors, one from ISCTE and one form UESTC.
• Supervisors are assigned after the first year.
• Thesis oral defense will be held at ISCTE. The Committee of Thesis Oral Defense includes 3 ISCTE members and 2 UESTC members.
• The Committee President will be a professor from ISCTE.
