The International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) visited the Business Research Unit (BRU-Iscte) on June 28th, which marked the first in-person meeting of the new Board. Jacqueline Coyle-Shapiro, Maurizio Zollo, Simon Wolfe and Stephen Hall were present at Iscte. Unfortunately, Mirella Kleijnen was not able to join us on this occasion.

The visit began with a welcome session for BRU-Iscte researchers, hosted by Prof. Maria de Fátima Salgueiro, Director of the Business Research Unit with the presence of the Iscte Business School Dean, Prof. Maria João Cortinhal. The session included a presentation of the main BRU-Iscte achievements for the period from 2018-2023. Subsequently, the ISAB convened with the BRU Scientific Committee, research group coordinators and BRU-Iscte’s Directive Board to reflect on the Unit’s strategy for the upcoming years. After lunch, the Board visit the new facilities of Iscte Knowledge and Innovation (CVTT). Following a private meeting in the afternoon, the ISAB then provided feedback to BRU-Iscte.

The visit was a significant milestone for BRU-Iscte, providing valuable feedback and guidance from world-renowned experts in the field.
