EmotiFest: A serious game to promote emotional regulation in children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Activity Description
Project Management for Sustainable Alternatives
Irene Ciccarino from Management Research Group
Global challenges refer to critical and complex problems that affect humanity and require innovative and sustainable solutions. Social project management plays a crucial role in addressing these challenges and has the potential to teach how to prioritize social well-being as an alternative to the traditional way of producing and consuming that has generated these challenges. The Project DPro methodology, developed by PM4NGOs, provides a solid foundation for developing this sustainable thinking through five basic principles: good governance, participatory, comprehensive, integrated and adaptive projects. The activity will present these principles to participants via an interactive game, where they will be encouraged to question these principles in different projects to highlight what could be improved to promote sustainability. The game will consist of cards presenting the situations and a dice with the principles of project management. The situations relate to the sustainable development objectives that will be displayed on a Banner. Participants will be invited to record their impressions in messages on a wall for future analysis of the impact of this information on people and for inspiration for those who pass by. The activity encourages the development of critical reasoning on how to seek solutions beyond conventional management.
EmotiFest: A serious game to promote emotional regulation in children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Aristides Ferreira and Sara Lopes from OB&HR Research Group
