BRU-Iscte research manager Cheila Ramalho has officially joined the Core Group of EARMAImpact – the thematic group on research impact from the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) – during the group’s 4th annual meeting hosted at the EARMA headquarters in Brussels on October 14-15, 2025.
Over the past year, Cheila has been contributing to EARMAImpact within its Working Group 4 (WG4) – Evaluating and Evidencing Impact, for which she has assumed the co-leadership on the same occasion. Cheila presented the results of last year’s WG4 activities along with former co-leader, while other working groups have also presented their work over the last year and upcoming activities.
During the 4th Annual EARMAimpact meeting, there were keynotes on new digital tools to better assess research impact and increase research visibility outside academia, as well as on frameworks to better plan for impact at the institutional level. Interactive sessions on institutional drivers and barriers to implement effective research impact management and foster dedicated professionals also took place.
