BRU-Iscte proudly concluded the highly successful “1st Business Analytics and Data Science International Conference (BizData 2025)” and the “66th World Continuous Auditing and Reporting Symposium,” held concurrently from May 22nd to 24th, 2025. The three-day event brought together leading academics, industry professionals, researchers, and students from around the globe to explore the latest advancements and future directions in business analytics, data science, and continuous auditing.
The BizData 2025 conference, in its inaugural edition, served as a crucial platform for discussing cutting-edge research, practical applications, and emerging trends in leveraging data for strategic decision-making. Topics ranged from predictive modeling and machine learning to big data infrastructure and ethical considerations in AI. Participants engaged in lively discussions, sharing insights into how data-driven approaches are transforming various sectors, from finance and healthcare to retail and logistics.
The BizData 2025 is organized by Business Research Unit of the Iscte- University Institute of Lisbon and MSc Business Analytics (Iscte Business School).
The 66th World Continuous Auditing and Reporting Symposium continued its long-standing tradition of fostering innovation and excellence in the field of auditing. This year’s symposium focused on the transformative impact of technology on auditing practices, with particular emphasis on continuous auditing, real-time reporting, blockchain technology, and the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing audit efficiency and effectiveness. Experts debated the challenges and opportunities presented by these advancements, highlighting the need for auditors to adapt to an increasingly data-intensive and dynamic business environment.
