BRU-Iscte researcher João Guerreiro at LAPSO Open Day 2026

BRU-Iscte researcher João Guerreiro will take part in the Research Talks session at the LAPSO Open Day 2026, taking place on 5 November 2026, at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon.
Organised by CIS-Iscte, the event opens the doors of LAPSO, the Laboratory of Psychology, to the whole academic community, showcasing the research carried out at Iscte and the equipment and infrastructure the laboratory offers to researchers.
The afternoon begins at 14:00 with an opening session featuring Professor Jorge Costa, Vice-Rector of Iscte; Professor Diniz Lopes, Dean of the School of Sociology and Public Policy; Professor Margarida Garrido, Director of CIS-Iscte; and Professor Joana Baptista, Director of LAPSO.
Throughout the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to explore the research resources available at LAPSO. Including exploring the equipment for pain assessment (algometer), the eye-tracking systems, the psychophysiological recording systems (e.g., EEG), and the functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). This will be a unique opportunity to discover different research methodologies and tools, while exploring the scientific potential of the resources available at the laboratory.
The event will conclude with a Research Talks session, where participants will learn more about research projects developed by Marta Martins (CIS-Iscte) and João Guerreiro (BRU-Iscte), fostering knowledge exchange and discussion of current research topics.
