On 18 September, BRU-Iscte researcher Sandra Loureiro was a guest speaker at the 2026 International Conference on Consumption Studies, held in Macau under the theme ‘New Consumption in the Age of Artificial Intelligence’.

The conference was co-organised by the Business School of Xiangtan University and the Faculty of Business of City University of Macau.

Sandra Loureiro presented ‘Consumer–AI Relationship in the Era of the Silent Economy’ to an engaged audience interested in the new forms of consumption now emerging, shaped by a reality in which humans and AI-powered robots will increasingly share the consumption space.
