WISE-AI is a project that integrates the benefits of AI for the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals through the lens of youth, particularly focusing on young women. To guarantee an integrated and inclusive approach, the WISE-AI Iscte team produced a report that examines existing literature on AI and inclusion, as well as data gathered through focus groups and questionnaires conducted by project partners. This analysis is further enhanced by the examination of platforms such as ONET, which enables the identification of the core competencies required for success in the AI sector. Based on this data, specific recommendations are made regarding skills gaps, interests and priority topics in AI that should be addressed in the development of a Knowledge Portal. The objective is to narrow the discrepancy in women’s AI education, enhancing their employability and boosting their active involvement in this pivotal sector. To this end, the project is adopting an innovative approach that integrates technical training with interactive educational games, facilitating the introduction of complex concepts in an inclusive, accessible, and engaging manner.
The report will soon be made available on the project website in the project languages and is available here in:
WISE-AI is an Erasmus+ project led by Local Coordinator and BRU-Iscte researcher Aristides Ferreira and supported by BRU-Iscte research fellow Beatriz Saavedra.
