Nelson Ramalho, from the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Group, proposed a project to identify the representations and attitudes of SBSI (Sindicato dos Bancários do Sul e Ilhas) retirees from banking industry in Portugal, by using a national representative sample of over 3500 participants. It reported on life conditions, social support, daily habits, financial situation, health and healthcare access and satisfaction, role and relationship with unions, as well as expectations regarding banking industry and banking trade unions. It offers a comprehensive view of this population needs, aspirations and voice in addressing the wellbeing of current and retired bank workforce.
