The Business Research Unit (BRU-Iscte) marked its 30th Anniversary on December 10th, 2024 with a special celebration attended by Iscte’s Rector, Professor Maria de Lurdes Rodrigues, and Vice-Rector Professor Jorge Costa.
In her address, Rector Professor Maria de Lurdes Rodrigues praised the BRU for its outstanding achievements and its commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of business.
The first Director of BRU-Iscte, Professor Jorge Correia Jesuíno was also present at the event and said a few words about BRU, its origins and remarkable evolution.
To honor the Unit’s rich history, BRU-Iscte presented commemorative plaques to its former directors, recognizing their invaluable contributions to BRU’s success.
The celebration culminated with the cutting of a commemorative cake, a moment of fellowship among past and present directors, symbolizing the unity and gratitude for all who have contributed to the BRU’s history.To the sound of cheers, those present toasted to the unit’s 30 years and to the many more years of success yet to come.
Over the past three decades, BRU has made significant contributions to the field of business research such as producing publications in top journals, increasing research funding and developing more and more international projects. To highlight these contributions, all attendees were invited to an interactive exhibition presenting some of the major achievements of BRU-Iscte over the past 5 years.
