The project AMR-EDUcare – EduCation on Antimicrobial REsistance for the health workforcehas started on 1st March 2023.

This project has approved for funding by the EU4HEALTH programme, the EU programme for public health. AMR-EDUcare targets the prevention and reduction of antimicrobial resistance (AMR)’s health burden by filling educational gaps on AMR for both clinical and non-clinical health workforce, equipping the health workforce with the necessary knowledge and skills to address and adopting a strong focus on behavioural change and digital health skills for a more resilient and sustainable healthcare sector that improves the patient experience and delivers better health outcomes.

Researchers from the Iscte-Health group have participated in this application, with the local coordinator being João Carlos Ferreira from ISTAR-Iscte. From BRU-Iscte, researchers Ana Lúcia Martins , Henrique Martins and Teresa Grilo of the Management group are involved. CIS-Iscte researchers are also part of the Iscte team.
