From December 2017 until March 2018, BRU-Iscte researcher Luís Oliveira was responsible for the technical coordination of the 16th edition of the Investment Game (“Jogo do Investimento”), an outreach activity geared to high school students. This event was a collaboration with software company Ed-Rom.
The Investment Game is a theoretical/practical initiative, allowing participants to:
- Improve their understanding of capital markets within the context of the functioning of financial markets
- Follow closely (on a daily basis for about a month) the evolution of the main financial markets
- Test how to make investments in financial assets
- Experience the same conditions of professionals in this environment
This 2018 edition of the game gathered about 500 high school students from all over Portugal.
