Overview
The PhD track in Strategy and Entrepreneurship has three main goals:
- To provide our PhD candidates with a range of scientific knowledge and skills that will allow them to carry out independent, innovative and high quality research
- To guide and support our PhD candidates in communicating the results of their research in relevant scientific conferences and academic journals
- To accompany our PhD candidates in the development of knowledge and competences that can enable them to boost their academic and professional careers
Why choose the specialisation in Strategy and Entrepreneurship?
- Systematic understanding. Candidates are expected to have a systematic, detailed and integrative understanding of their study field, mastering the related research and diagnostics tools
- Produce research. Candidates are encouraged to design, plan and implement research plans that, according to management methodological standards and ethics, are considered valid and contribute to the development of scientific knowledge in Management
- Critical analysis. Students will critically analyse other researchers and field study professionals’ ideas, interventions and research and suggest ways to overcome the identified limitations
- Presentation of findings. Students will present, promote and defend the results of their research within the academic community and engage in the scientific publication of their work to a wider public
- Knowledge advancement. Students will be encouraged to independently promote knowledge advancement in GMSE’s academic, professional and social fields, contributing to the improvement of management practices
Overall, the specialisation in Strategy and Entrepreneurship offers PhD candidates the opportunity to engage with recent developments in strategic thinking and conduct research in various strategy-related areas.
