Tomás Alves talks to EntreCampus about the David Lab

Tomás Alves, researcher at the Business Research Unit (BRU-Iscte), is featured in issue no. 12 of EntreCampus, where he explains how the David Lab will scan, process and visualise historical collections.
Opening in 2027, the laboratory is unique in Portugal and will make archives openly available to researchers and the public.
The researcher explains how the David Lab will work: archives are returned to their owners once scanned, and the digital versions are made openly available to researchers and the public.
Plans also include using artificial intelligence to interpret posters from the Ephemera collection whose historical context is unknown.
