On 28 September, BRU-Iscte researcher Sandra Loureiro was a guest speaker at the Tourism Talks – World Tourism Day Webinar, on the theme ‘Digital Agenda and AI to Redesign Tourism’.

The webinar was hosted by the Cyprus University of Technology – Faculty of Tourism Management, Hospitality and Entrepreneurship, to celebrate World Tourism Day 2026.

Sandra Loureiro shared the panel with Stanislav Ivanov (Varna University of Management, Bulgaria) and Dimitrios Buhalis (Bournemouth University, United Kingdom) to discuss how digital transformation and artificial intelligence are reshaping the tourism industry, the opportunities for innovation in the sector, and the strategies tourism organisations can use to adapt and create value in a changing environment.
