On 21 September 2026, the BRU-Iscte Scientific Council held a plenary meeting, which included the election of the BRU Scientific Committee.

A single list (List A) stood for election. Of the 145 members eligible to vote, 37 cast their ballots (a turnout of 25.5%), while 108 abstained (74.5%). List A received 31 votes (83.8% of votes cast), with 6 blank ballots (16.2%) and no spoilt ballots.

The Scientific Council has therefore elected List A, comprising Alexandra Ferreira-Lopes, Ana Lúcia Martins, Ricardo Godinho Bilro and Sandra Costa, as the Scientific Committee for the 2026–2030 term.

The inauguration ceremony of the new Scientific Committee will take place on 16 October 2026 at 15:00 in Auditorium A302 (Building 4, third floor).
