On 22 September 2026, the Erasmus+ project NATURE FUTURES: Nature-Based Higher Education for Environment Resilience took part in the Iscte Sustainability Week 2026 with the Nature-Futures: City Check-Up cooperative board game, featuring a map of Lisbon that allows participants to take on the role of ‘urban doctors’ and prescribe Nature-based Solutions based on different locations’ ecological data.

The game was accompanied by an explanation of the concept of Nature-based Solutions and a presentation of the Nature Futures research project. Part of the project team are BRU-Iscte researchers Catarina Roseta Palma and João Faria and BRU-Iscte research manager Mafalda Casais.
