SUMMARY:6th International AR VR Conference: Immersive Tech and the Future of Smart Cities
DESCRIPTION:Conference Dates: \n6th International AR VR Conference 19th-20th November 2020 (virtual) \nNEW: The 6th AR VR Conference will be held face-to-face on 30 June-2 July 2021 at ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon (provisional date) \nThe 6th International AR VR Conference: Immersive Tech and the Future of Smart Cities will be held at Iscte. An International Conference at ISCTE- Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. \nThe last conference attracted more than 200 people from more than 25 countries to Munich\, Germany to present and showcase more than 100 papers and projects. In addition\, keynote speakers from renowned companies\, such as Microsoft\, KLM\, AUDI and University of Cambridge discussed new technological developments within the industry. \nThe Organizing Committee includes the researchers Sandra Loureiro (Host Chair)\, João Guerreiro (Industry Programme Chair) and Ricardo Bilro (PhD Programme Chair) from the Accounting\, Marketing & Management Group at BRU-Iscte. \n\nDue to the current COVID-19 outbreak worldwide\, it is not possible to host the conference in Lisbon\, Portugal on 24th-26thJune 2020. Even though we hope that the situation will improve quickly\, we have no way of actually knowing whether the health situation will have improved and whether flights will be operating again by June. Consequently\, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the conference until early 2021 as this is the only way to ensure your health and the conference’s success. \n\nKey deadlines: \n• EasyChair will be open for new abstract submissions for the 6th International AR & VR Conference 2020 until 15th August 2020. \n• Notification of acceptance/rejection: 15th September 2020 \n• Early bird registration deadline: New early bird registration will be open later this year. \n• Normal registration ends: New normal registration deadline will be open later this year. \nAll Papers/abstracts must be submitted via Easy Chair : https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=arvr2020 \nFor more information please visit the website: \nhttps://arvrconference.wixsite.com/arvrconference
